Imagine Your Underwater StoryImagine Your Underwater Story – It’s time to get wet and wild with this underwater comedy show featuring everyone’s favorite small but mighty superheroes, Melvin the Mantis Shrimp and Agatha the Axiotl. Kids at home will learn tons of weird watery fun facts when they play our trivia game show, GET SOAKED. And everyone can cool off with our sandpaper craft, paper towel tube rainsticks, and bubble art. Older kids will love Hydro-Dipping as they create one-of-a-kind designs in this creative craze that’s sweeping Youtube. We have two amazing writers this week. Author, poet, storyteller, and former librarian, Shutta Crum will make it rain with her book THUNDER BOOMER and Author/Illustrator Janeen Mason will wow us with her OCEAN COMMOTION series of picture books. Our guest performer, Burl the Bubble Guy comes to us all the way from Cologne, Germany! And he will blow your mind with an awesome bubble show. If you or a student you know needs help with Social Studies or English homework send your questions in an e-mail to Josh at tech@townofulsterlibrary.org. When articulating your questions, please try to be as specific as possible and refrain from sending any links or files. Once you have asked your question, a grade 7-12 certified Social Studies teacher will respond to your queries via e-mail. These responses will take place every Tuesday from 12-2 PM until the library is re-opened. Virtual Musical StorytimeVirtual Musical Storytime – Ms. Kelley will offer weekly, virtual musical storytimes for children ages birth- 5 years on Wednesday mornings at 10:30 a.m. These will be pre-recorded and posted to the Town of Ulster Public Library Children’s Facebook page. This early literacy storytime will include stories, fairy tales, nursery rhymes and fables. She will play her guitar, have a sing along, and share an idea for a craft to make at home related to the theme. |

Virtual Presentation: Fate Knocking - Exploring Beethoven's 5th SymphonyVirtual Presentation: Fate Knocking - Exploring Beethoven's 5th Symphony – Combining technology and audience participation, the I Hate Classical Music series features lectures for those less familiar with opera and classical music. The audience gets an inside look from the maestro's perspective, while conducting along with an animated orchestra. Presented by Tanisha Mitchell, who is best known for her innovative work in the arts at the Metropolitan Opera and the Freeport Memorial Library.
