10:30 AM–Intergenerational Preschool Musical Story Hour

  • Families are encouraged to bring a Veteran family member or a friend or neighbor to join in the story hour (preschool). The themes are honor, gratitude and respect. This is a musical program.

 

4:00 - 5:00 PM–After School Program

  • Families are encouraged to bring a Veteran family member or a friend or neighbor to join in the after school program (5–12 years). The themes are honor, gratitude and respect. Make a Veterans Day craft together.

Preschool Story Hour

Families are encouraged to bring a Veteran family member or a friend or neighbor to join in the story hour (preschool). The themes are honor, gratitude and respect. This is a musical program.

Preschool Story Hour taps into the boundless energy of three to five-year-olds to get your child involved in this interactive story time. This program will engage your children with stories, finger plays and songs and encourage them to learn sounds, letter recognition, and new words as they grow into pre-readers. Each program is followed by a hands-on craft and snacks.

Baby & Me Story Hour - CANCELED


November 13, 2019

Baby & Me Story Hour focuses on developing your baby’s and toddler's pre-literacy skills. This lap-time story hour will introduce a love for books by using song, movement, rhythm and rhyme. The program will help improve motor, sensory, and social skills during play time. A hands-on craft and snack follow each program. Children ages 0-3 and caregivers welcome.

Field Goods Pick-Up - CANCELED

Field Goods is a year-round local produce delivery service; customers receive 5 to 8 different fruit and vegetables (depending on bag size), plus optional add-ons. Bags cost $16 to $32 per week, and can be put on hold at any time. It’s flexible!

Field Goods purchases everything directly from over 80 small farms in the region. All of the produce is non-GMO, and most is organically grown.

Special Story Hour

Kindness is our theme! Celebrate World Kindness Day (November 13th) with us! Come and listen to stories, sing songs, play musical instruments, and help tie a no-sew children's fleece blanket to donate to People's Place.

We offer story times and other activities for children, teens, and adults, including a book discussion group. Check our program calendar or call the library at 845-338-7881.
