Preschool Story Hour

Preschool Story Hour taps into the boundless energy of three to five-year-olds to get your child involved in this interactive story time. This program will engage your children with stories, finger plays and songs and encourage them to learn sounds, letter recognition, and new words as they grow into pre-readers. Caregiver and child program for ages 0-3

Baby & Me time focuses on developing your baby’s and toddler's pre-literacy skills. This lap-time story hour will introduce a love for books by using song, movement, rhythm and rhyme. The program will help improve motor, sensory, and social skills during play time. The program runs for an hour and snacks are provided.

Field Goods Pick-Up

Field Goods is a year-round local produce delivery service; customers receive 5 to 8 different fruit and vegetables (depending on bag size), plus optional add-ons. Bags cost $16 to $32 per week, and can be put on hold at any time. It’s flexible!

Field Goods purchases everything directly from over 80 small farms in the region. All of the produce is non-GMO, and most is organically grown.

Q&A with Ken Green of Seedshed

Ken Greene is the founder of the first seed library in the country, a project he germinated in a small town library, and co-founder of the Hudson Valley Seed Company, a national seed source devoted to producing seed for home gardeners and farmers and celebrating seeds through art. Greene is on the board of directors for the Organic Seed Alliance and is on the planning committee for the National Organic Seed Growers Conference. He has given presentations for the Northeast Organic Farming Association, Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture, Culinary Institute of America, Seed Savers Exchange, National Heirloom Expo, Cornell University, Santa Fe Farmers Market Institute, and many other conferences and organizations.
