Library Budget and Board Candidates Vote
Library Budget and Board Candidates Vote
–
September 7, 2017The tax levy remains at $304,200.00, a zero percent increase [over 2017]. Also on the ballot will be [2] candidates for trustee – incumbent Cynthia Wadnola and Allison Organtini. The third and fourth board seats for 3-year terms will be filled if there are any write-in candidates. Voting on the budget and candidates will take place 2-8 p.m. on Sept. 7 at the Library.’
Copies of the budget are available on the library's website and at the library. The board and director worked hard not to increase the levy this year, due to the property tax revaluations in the Town, - and realize that it may not be possible to accomplish again in coming years.

Everyday Heroics: What Defines A Hero?
Over the past decade, the superhero genre has basked in a surge of popularity, thanks in no small part to Marvel Studios. This leads to an interesting question: What exactly is a hero?
Do we need Gamma rays and unexplainable mutations to be heroic, or, can there be a way to be deemed heroic in everyday life? Join us at the Town of Ulster Library as we explore this question through a variety of mediums.
Welcoming all adults, from sweet sixteen to golden years.
Don't have the book? Just call the library, and reserve a copy.
“Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr Creedy. And ideas are bullet-proof!.”
We offer story times and other activities for children, teens, and adults, including a book discussion group. Check our program calendar or call the library at 845-338-7881.
