Preschool Story HourPreschool Story Hour – Preschool Story Hour taps into the boundless energy of three to five-year-olds to get your child involved in this interactive story time. This program will engage your children with stories, finger plays and songs and encourage them to learn sounds, letter recognition, and new words as they grow into pre-readers. Each program is followed by a hands-on craft and snacks. School's Out ProgramSchool's Out Program School’s Out - Blast Off Into Space! Ages 5-12 years 7/8- The Moon!: Reader’s Theater, make moon rocks and have a snack an astronaut would eat in space! 7/15- Stars Bingo Game: Play bingo and try to win a prize! 7/22- Astronaut Training: ...and a rocket blast activity! 7/29- Constellations: View different constellations using a Galaxy Planetarium. Make a constellation viewer. 8/5- Movie Matinee: Short episodes of space shows and popcorn will be served. |

Budget Vote HearingBudget Vote Hearing – The Town of Ulster Public Library Board of Trustees will hold a public hearing on Aug. 27th on a total proposed budget of $350,745 carrying a two (2) percent increase. The hearing is scheduled for 4:00 - 4:30 p.m. in the library at 860 Ulster Avenue. The proposed spending plan for 2020 totals an increase of 2 % over the 2019 tax levy at $322,695. The tax rebate will be covered by the Library’s fund balance. Also on the ballot will be [3] candidates for trustee – Rotena Nippert, Anne Davis and Anne LeBarge. There is also a one-year term for a non-expired seat available to write ins. Voting on the budget and candidates will take place 2-8 p.m. on Sept. 5 at the Library.
