The Census Deadline Extended to the End of October

It’s not too late to respond to the census, even if the census bureau itself hasn’t exactly been clear on the matter. According to the Associated Press, a federal judge issued a preliminary injunction on September 25th which required the census bureau to extend the national tally through the end of the month. This ruling was made to ensure that there was enough time to secure an accurate population count, which will determine how 1.5 trillion dollars in federal spending will be distributed as well as how many congressional seats will be accorded to each state.

So please, make sure you and your community are being represented, and fill out the census if you haven’t already! You have until October 31st to complete the 2020 census; you can find a link to fill out your census information here
