February is Black History Month!

We’re lucky enough to have some great local resources for education and entertainment for the whole month, right here in Kingston. To get started, you can use your library card and click here for a research starter on the history of the month.

And, when you’re all caught up on the history, you can click here for a resource on Black History Month events running in Kingston, thanks to the A.J. Williams-Myers African Roots Center. Among the lineup are a Comedy Slam, A Nubian Cafe, and a Racial Justice Action Night, just to name a few. Check out their website for the full list and even more resources!
